With reference to the subject cited, it is to inform that, the SSA (23949) Accounts
are being operating with SBH pertains to the DPOS & Sub District units from 2014
onwards with hassle free service. Subsequently, the SBH has merged with the SBI, from
then onwards lot of inconvenience is facing and sometimes led to risk in maintaining SSA
funds with the SBI. In this regard lot of correspondence has been made to the SBI
authorities but no correctional efforts have been made from the SBI.
Further, after merging of SBH into SBI, the following inconvenience / risks faced by
the SSA in maintenance of funds with SBI: -
a) Unauthorized AEPS with-drawls
b) Closure of Sub District Units (SDU8) Accounts without our consent and in violation
to the agreement clauses which results in return of released funds and non-
availability of SSA funds to the SDUS. Example: Letter Received from SBI vide
reference 3rd cited
c) Debiting of Bank Charges for non-maintenance of Minimum Balances / Dup licate
State etc which is in violation of agreem ent clauses.
d) Opening of Current Accounts instead of Savings Bank Account in accordance with
the agreement clauses.
e) Non updation of Web Portal i.e., within 48 hrs.
f Poor Customer Service like non transfer of Salaries / Other Payments pertaining
to other than SBI Accounts and rude behavior with the SSA Staff.
g) Non-Receipt of compliance report / rectification report in toto from the SBI
Authorities in response to the SSA correspondence mentioned in the reference 2"d
cited above.
In view of the above and keeping in view of the SSA funds security, the organization
is in the opinion that it is not desirable to continue the SA SB Accounts in SBI
branches which was already informed to the SBI vide ref2nd cited Lr. Dated 30.05.2019
and compelled to move on to other Authorized Banks to operate SSA funds
Andhra Bank and Canara Bank.
All the DEO8 & E.O Project Officers, MEOS, HMs, Special Officers of KGBV8 /
URH/URS, Principals of Girls Hostels attached to Model Schools are directed to open
Joint Signatory SB Accounts with nearby Canara Bank or Andhra bank branches and
transfer the existing SSA Account balances to the
Accounts. Further, it is instructed to obtain the bank statement from the SBI till the
date of the closure of SSA Account and kept ready for Audit.

All the DEO8 are requested to pay their personal attention on the above issue and
submit the consolidated statement to the under signed with new account numbers and
balance transferred from the closed account to new account
om old account to the new account number with in (15) days to release further
funds from the SPO to the DPO / SDU8 smoothly.
